Album 'Turista' je průzkumem vizuálního vnímání turistů.
Vzdala jsem se své role fotografa a stala jsem se objektem, předmětem fotografování. Určovala jsem však podmínky, za jakých se bude fotografovat a kdo mne bude snímat. Někdy jsem vytvořila situaci pro jednoduché pořízení fotografie, jindy jsem vybírala místa, ze kterých bylo téměř nemožné do záběru dostat celou scenérii i mou postavu. Lidé, které jsem si vybírala, nevěděli o mém projektu. Všichni si mysleli, že mi pořizují snímek pouze na památku.
Během práce jsem se setkala s různými přístupy k aktu fotografování. Někteří lidé pouze pořídili snímek, další se mě ptali, zda chci fotografii na výšku či na šířku, jiní udělali více snímků s různou kompozicí, někteří mi dokonce ukazovali, kam si mám stoupnout a jak moc v záběru budu. Setkala jsem i s tím, že mi někdo odpočítával, než stiskl spoušť.
Vyměnit si roli fotografa s náhodnými kolemjdoucími bylo velmi intenzivním zážitkem jejímž výsledkem jsou nejen fotografie v albu, ale také mé zážitky jak být pravým turistou.

Photo album “The Tourist” is a research on tourists’ visual perception.
While creating this artwork, I gave up on my role as a photograph and became an object of photographing. However, I was the one who determined the circumstances under which the pictures were taken, and I chose the people who take the pictures. Sometimes I made I easy for the amateurs to take the picture, next time it was almost impossible to fit the scenery and myself in the photograph. The people I approached had no idea about my project. All of them thought that they were helping me to create memories.
During my work I witnessed many different attitudes towards photo taking. Some people just pushed the button, others asked whether I wanted the picture taken horizontally or vertically. Sometimes people made many pictures with different compositions and some even showed me where to stand. Two people even counted down on their fingers before they pressed the shutter release. To change my role from photographing to being photographed by random passers-by was an intense and enriching experience that resulted not only in pictured in an album but also in the experience of being a true tourist.
